Best exercise equipment for Home gym

So, if you could buy only 1 equipment for your gym then what would it be? In my opinion, that one equipment is going to be elastic bands. Why?? Because they are cheap, durable, flexible ie you can do almost any exercise with it, does not take a lot of space and you can carry it any where.
